| I walked in with Greyson. I was out of breath from running all night and I think Greyson was too.
"Hey, buddy, you can stay here," I said putting Greyson in a stall. He whinnied and bumped his head against me.
I smiled and kissed his forehead.
I didn't usually show much affection to animals or people but Greyson was special to me. | |

| I looked around, and saw Snows Edge village. It was a great place, I often came here to sleep for the night in the stables. Secretly, of course, if the villagers found out I'd probably be dead by the morning. | |

| I don't snap a single twig as I peer around the corner. The white blaze of fur on my chest stuck out more than I'd like, but what could I do about it? I see a horse and girl through the bars of a stall. Strange, I thought. | |

| I stepped back, deciding to find another place to stay, and bound off towards the mountains.
Snows Edge stable's were at the brink of the village. I quietly slipped in looking for food, and see a humongous wolf. My black mane twitches nervously, and I swear it could see my practically glowing bright blue eyes. I froze. The wolf bounded off in some other direction, sticking out against the light dusting of snow. | |

| I calmed down a little, the creature left. I shifted in the hay that was beneath us.
Greyson was relaxing so there probably wasn't any danger. I yawned and scootched closer to the medium sized horse.
He was all I ever had. The only family I knew. The only person that would stick by me. So, I would stick by him. | |

| Not seeing anyone, I decided it would be best to leave. I used my teeth and grabbed onto the back of Rose's coat then lifted her and laid her on my back.
